🚨 Community Alert – Theft from Motor Vehicle 🚨

Between Monday 11th May 0000hrs and 0010hrs, an unknown offender has targeted 2 vehicles by smashing the front passenger window of a vehicle and conducted an untidy search of the interior.

Items may have been taken; however, this is currently unconfirmed. There is no suspect description available at this stage.

This type of offence is often opportunistic, with offenders targeting vehicles where valuables are visible or where entry can be gained quickly.

🔒 Crime Prevention Advice

To help reduce the risk of becoming a victim, please consider the following:

Remove all valuables from your vehicle, including bags, tools, mobile phones, wallets, and loose change.

Do not leave items on display – even low-value items can attract attention.

Ensure your vehicle is locked and windows are fully closed, even when parked at home.

Park in well-lit, busy areas or locations covered by CCTV where possible.

Use additional security measures, such as steering wheel locks or vehicle alarms.

Be mindful of tools and equipment (e.g. in vans), which are commonly targeted.

Report suspicious activity immediately, such as individuals trying car doors or looking into vehicles.
